What is a sub-account?
A sub-account enables you to trade across multiple accounts. It allows for the segregation of responsibilities and trade management. You can create several sub-accounts linked to a main account, allowing for the implementation of various trading strategies and risk reduction.
How to create a sub-account?
- Log into your XT.COM account and click on the 'Personal Center' option in the top navigation bar of the homepage, followed by 'Sub-Account'.
- Click on 'Create Sub-Account'.
- You can create a sub-account using either a general sub-account or a customized sub-account.
3.1 Create a sub-account using a general sub-account
Following the instructions on the page, enter the username (required) and any notes (optional). Then, simply click on 'Create' to proceed.
Note: General sub-accounts cannot be directly logged into, they can only be accessed by logging into the main account and then 'switching accounts'.
3.2 Create a sub-account using a customized sub-account
Following the instructions on the page, enter the username and password (required), along with any optional notes. Then, simply click on 'Create' to proceed.
Note: Customized sub-accounts allow direct login using the username and password.
- Once the sub-account is successfully created, you can view it on the sub-account management page. From there, you can switch accounts, transfer assets, and manage account settings.
4.1 Switch account
Click 'Switch Account' to move to the sub-account page.
4.2 The steps for fund transfer are as follows:
①Click on 'Transfer' next to the sub-account. ②Switch funds between the main account and the sub-account. ③Select the currency for transfer. ④Enter the transfer amount. ⑤Click 'Confirm'.
4.3 Account settings operations are as follows:
①Click 'Freeze' to freeze the current sub-account. If the current sub-account is logged in, it will be forcefully logged out and prevented from logging in after being frozen. To unfreeze the current sub-account, click on 'Settings' - 'Unfreeze'.
②Click on 'Account Permissions' to freely choose whether to enable spot, leverage, or futures trading for the current sub-account.
③Click on 'Account Security' to perform a username reset operation and set up Google authentication for the current sub-account.
Important Notes:
- To ensure the security of the main account's assets, funds can only be transferred from sub-accounts to the main account. If you want to transfer funds from a sub-account to the main account, you also need to perform this operation within the main account.
- Each individual can create up to 20 sub-accounts.
- Sub-accounts cannot be used to log into the website for trading while they are frozen.
- The VIP level of a sub-account is consistent with that of the main account, and the trading volume of the sub-account contributes to the trading volume of the main account.
