How to Add Keys to Your XT Account
You may use a supported browser, such as the latest version of Chrome, to add keys to your XT account. The creation process is similar to that on the XT app. You may use computer passwords or biometric verification (such as fingerprint ID), USB security keys, or other devices (like your phone) for setup.
-
Log into your XT account, click on the "Personal Center" icon at the top of the page, and select "Security Center".
-
Click on the "Settings" button next to "Passkeys".
-
Click on "Add Passkey".
-
A popup will appear. Confirm your XT account email address and select the verification method for the new passkey.
- A. Password or Biometric Authentication
-
Click on "Add Passkey".
-
Verify your request using a password or biometric authentication (like fingerprint ID on Mac). Please note that the created key will be saved only on this device.
B. USB Security Key
-
Click on "Use another device" and select "Security key".
-
Insert the security key into the computer and touch it to complete the verification.
-
Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
C. Other Devices
-
Click on 'Use another device' and select 'iPhone, iPad, or Android device'.
-
A popup will display a QR code. Use your smartphone or another device to scan this QR code.
-
Click on "Save Key" to store the key on your phone, and follow the prompts to set it up. (Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both your phone and computer).
-
You have successfully added the passkey to your XT account. Please note that the created key is saved only on this device.
Editing or Deleting a Key
If you are using the XT App:
- Click on the "Edit" icon next to the key to customize its name.
- To delete a passkey, click on the "Delete" icon and complete the verification using the passkey or two-factor authentication.
If you are using the XT Official Website (Chrome Browser):
- Click on "Rename" or "Delete" next to the key for renaming or deleting operations.
- When deleting a passkey on Chrome, you must first use the passkey to verify this request. For example, to delete a USB security passkey, you must insert the key into the computer to verify this request.
